November 24, 2009- AXIOMTEK today introduced the ETM831, Intel® Atom™ ETX 3.x compliant system-on-a-module with superior performance-per-watt for various multimedia devices. Within a compact 4.5” x 3.7” (114 x 95mm) footprint, the ETM831 integrates a high-performance, low-power 1.6GHz Intel® Atom™ processor N270 with Intel® 945GSE and ICH7M chipsets. The module supports up to 2GB of high-speed DDR2 system DRAM on a single SODIMM. The Mobile Intel® 945GSE Express chipset integrates an Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 that provides CRT and single/dual channel 18/24-bit LVDS. The low-power module is ideal for communication, medical, factory automation, transportation, and surveillance applications.

The four PCI and one 16-bit ISA expansion buses on its ETX 3.x-compliant interface maximize the flexibility of system development. The ETM831 also features rich I/O interfaces, including two SATA, four USB 2.0, one Fast Ethernet, VGA, 18/24-bit LVDS, HD audio, PS/2 keyboard/mouse port, 2 UARTs ports, FDD/LPT port, and IrDA interface (optional). Plugged into an application-specific system baseboard, the ETM831 with highly standardized interfaces and scalability offers customers the advantages of reducing development cost and short time to market. Moreover, the ETM831 supports Windows® 7, Windows® Vista, Windows® XP, Windows® Embedded Standard, Windows® XPe, Windows® CE, Linux as well as QNX.
